As we come to the end of another very busy year let us reflect on what has been achieved both on and off the fields of play and acknowledge the huge amount of work by so many people in making this a very successful year.
We thank all those who have contributed to our on-field activities, players, managers, mentors, parents and supporters for their time and energy. We also thank all those who have contributed in so many other ways to the numerous arrays of Club activities and we are acutely aware that all too often too much was asked of too few. To all we say you are a credit to yourselves, to our Club and to the community.
Our plan for 2017 is to help develop a Club that will prosper for many years ahead based on a clear set of values and principles. These include, to reduce the drop-off in player numbers between the ages of 16yrs – 21yrs, place the Club on a sound financial footing and to maintain our superb facilities for use, not just by our Club members but by the entire community. On the field of play we plan to continue to develop our players in both codes and to build on what was achieved last year at both adult and underage level.
To my fellow Officers for their vision, commitment and unrelenting work for the Club, a huge and well deserved thanks.
Finally, I wish everybody a happy, peaceful, relaxed Christmas and a successful New Year.
